Cardinals Announce Details for 2025 Hall of Fame Weekend

Club to Celebrate 40th Anniversary of 1985 NL Champs with 20+ Alumni on Sept. 5

ST. LOUIS, Mo., August 27, 2025 – The St. Louis Cardinals have announced details surrounding the 2025 Cardinals Hall of Fame Weekend presented by Edward Jones on September 5-7. The weekend will be highlighted by the 11th annual Cardinals Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony of Édgar Rentería, Al Hrabosky and the late Walt Jocketty, scheduled for 3:00 PM on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Ballpark Village.

Over a dozen Cardinals Hall of Famers are scheduled to take part in the Induction Ceremony including Ozzie Smith, Tony La Russa, Ted Simmons, Scott Rolen, Joe Torre, Mark McGwire, Jim Edmonds, Chris Carpenter, Ray Lankford, John Tudor, Tom Herr, José Oquendo, and Matt Morris.
The Cards Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held outdoors on the Busch II Infield Stage in Together Credit Union Plaza at Ballpark Village. The ceremony is free and open to the public. No lawn chairs will be permitted on the plaza grounds.
The Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum will feature a variety of programming on Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6, including a special Flashback Friday conversation with Rentería and Hrabosky hosted by Tom Ackerman in the Together Credit Union Plaza on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by the Maryville University Cards Hall of Fame Walk plaque presentation with the new inductees at 6:25 PM.
That same weekend, the team will host a 40-year anniversary reunion of the 1985 National League Championship team on Friday, September 5, presented by Heartland Coca-Cola.
Over 20 former players and coaches from the 1985 team, including National Baseball Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, Cards Hall of Famers Willie McGee, Vince Coleman, John Tudor & Tom Herr; Terry Pendleton, Danny Cox, Ricky Horton, Andy Van Slyke, Todd Worrell, and more are scheduled to take part in a pregame ceremony beginning at 6:40 PM.
In addition to those events, the organization will celebrate Cards Hall of Fame Weekend with gate giveaways on all three dates, the Maryville University Walk of Fame plaque presentation on Friday at 6:30 PM, Terry Pendleton’s Saturday Signing presented by Goodwill at the Cards Museum on Saturday from 10 AM-12 PM, the Hall of Fame Red Jacket Parade immediately following Saturday’s Induction Ceremony, and a special pregame on-field ceremony on Saturday evening.
