Do you find yourself longing for the hot summer days of the early-00s? You know, the days when you somehow convinced your mom to borrow her Dodge Caravan so you could load up all your friends and head to Warped Tour? Do you miss watching your favorite bands while dancing on 150-degree asphalt, hydrating with Monster Energy drinks, and rocking your Sunday best band tee, cut-offs, and Vans trucker hat? Well, live in the past no more, my friends! Allow us to introduce you to your new favorite pop-punk band: KNIVES.
Formed in 2022 by songwriter Danny Attack (Vocals/Guitar) and Brendan Morrison (Screams/Guitar), KNIVES was originally meant to be a one-show project. But the self-proclaimed “boys of summer” quickly realized they were onto something more. Soon after, they added Josh Kidd (Drums) and Adam Johnson (Bass) to complete the lineup. With soul-baring lyrics, blood-curdling screams, infectious grooves, and catchy melodies, the sky is the limit for this up-and-coming pop-punk juggernaut.
Signed to Punkerton Records in 2023, KNIVES is ready to take the scene by storm. Their debut LP, “One Cut Away From Love,” is set to drop on November 15, 2024. If you’re looking for lyrics that rip your still-beating heart out of your chest, face-melting guitar riffs, bass lines that blur your perception of space and time, and ground-shaking beats, look no further. KNIVES is here, and they’re ready to be your new favorite punk band.

“My Only Gold” – Our anthem for the broken hearted. This song is a tone setter. Unanimous pick to be the first song on the album. The lyrics tell a tragic love story. Just because something ends doesn’t mean it’s easy to just move on.
“I think it’s a rare triumph in songwriting that the arrangement perfectly mirrors the lyrics. My only gold achieves that, leaving listeners to feel a spectrum of feelings from pure joy to heartbreak.
“Screams underly powerful vocals emphasizing the emotions. From the first hit to the final strum the song has the listener hooked pulling them away on a visceral journey. Vicariously walking them back through failed relationships passed, and letting them know it’s okay if you need to look back in order to move forward.” – Brendan Morrison – Screams/Guitar
