YEAR TWINS Drops First Single, “Turn Into Dracula”, In 3 Years On March 29

Year Twins drops first single in 3 years on March 29 with “Turn Into Dracula”

New album out this summer.

It’s been nearly three years since the release of their debut album Perfect Forever, Forever Perfect, but Year Twins is finally back with a brand new single “Turn Into Dracula” – out 3/29!

Year Twins

“Turn Into Dracula” is about letting go of things from the past you can’t alter, living with the pestering feeling of self-doubt and the problems you wish you would have faced head-on. Time passes but it’s never too late to change.

This is the first single from the band’s upcoming album which is set to be released later this summer. Until then, Year Twins will be hitting the road with Yes, Yes A Thousand Times Yes and on their own.

What Others Have Said:
“After “Mystics In Bali” and “Jimmy Can Jump,” the newly released “Stun Gun Headbutt” confirms Year Twins are very good at naming songs. It also suggests they’ve got a strong handle on this music stuff. The track reminds me of A Great Big Pile Of Leaves with more pop-punk energy and a dash of Built To Spill at their spaciest.”Stereogum

“Ohio’s Year Twins channel the scrappy, off-kilter pop of late ’90s emo…” BrooklynVegan

Lyrics

On this pale horse
My will to live has run its course
No longer young
Pound my fist, just let me in
Did I make them proud enough?

Long weekends alone
Stick in the mud
This isn’t fun
Just feeling numb

Year Twins

1, 2, 3, 4, I don’t feel it anymore
Pack up and go
Good grief, six deep
Just bury me
Flee the sun
Dead leaves cover me
Was I trying hard enough
Growing up?
I’m old enough to give it up

Endless sleep
Everything at once
Sharpen my teeth
My blood runs so cold

My will to live has run its course
Good grief, six deep
Just bury me
Flee the sun
Pound my fist, just let me in
Did I make them proud enough?

Long weekends at home
It’s such a bore
Another score
What’s it all for?

Tell me, did everyone leave?
Everything happens at once
and you blame yourself
But it’s not your fucking fault
You gave it your best
And that’s enough
