Marvel’s currently making a big announcement
Marvel is currently live streaming an announcement; it’s been going on for a while. Every 10-15 minutes or so, music will kick in and they reveal a new chair with an actors name’s on it.
My guess this is tied to one of the new Avengers movies: Doomsday or Secret Wars. Based off the names so far, I’m thinking more Doomsday than Secret Wars; unless they start throwing out names like Jennifer Garner (Elektra) or Channing Tatum (Gambit), we’re only getting MCU proper characters.
Update: They threw the Beast in there; this could now be Doomsday or Secret Wars since Beast has appeared in The Marvels…but he could also cross into the MCU to help Monica Rambeau get back home…
Update 2: The original Fox Professor X and Magneto are back and part of the MCU…
Update 3: The X-Men keep coming with the original trilogy’s Nightcrawler, Mystique, and Cyclops announced. I’m excited, but extremely curious how this all plays out.
Update 4: The video ends with it confirming Doomsday and RDJ coming out to sit in his chair. Brilliant marketing; I know quite a few people who sat on the video all day waiting for the next name to drop. I’m expecting that there will be more actors they didn’t announce; it’s been rumors that Hugh Jackman was going to be in both of the new Avengers movies. Ryan Reynolds can’t be far behind. The only name I didn’t get was Dolph Lundgren.
We’ve also just gotten the logo (above, with “Now In Production”), so I’m really leaning towards that.
