2024 MLB PLAYERS’ WEEKEND – AUGUST 16-18

This weekend, MLB players will showcase the people and pursuits that make them who they are during 2024 Players’ Weekend, taking place throughout the League beginning Friday, August 16 – Sunday, August 18.  Throughout the weekend, players will have the platform to celebrate their interests, backstories, causes and people that are important to them.

A different aspect of the players’ lives will be highlighted each day through game presentation elements in-stadium, broadcast enhancements with media partners, the League and Club social media content and more.  Friday highlights the fun aspects of players personalities, friendships, and hobbies.  On Saturday, the focus turns to causes, charities and community initiatives that are important to players.  On Sunday, players get to show their appreciation and celebrate the people that helped them on their road to the Major Leagues.

Some anticipated tributes include bats and cleats that pay homage to home countries/hometowns, alma maters, nicknames, favorite characters, family members and foundations.  For the first-time ever, players will wear special New Era caps featuring their uniform number on the side panel in a new design in-game.  After Players’ Weekend concludes, select items will be chosen for auction to benefit a charitable organization of the player’s choosing.
