Germany’s FLASH FOWARD To Release ‘Endings = Beginnings’ On December 9th

Rousing alternative songs and unforgettable hooklines that effortlessly manage the balancing act between radio and rock club: Flash Forward from Germany celebrate the most successful phase of their band history with a new album!

“Endings = Beginnings” is the name of the new album of the quartet, which will be released on 09 December 2022 – an encouraging credo that sometimes seems elusive in the moment of change. In 13 songs that breathe the spirit of the times, Flash Forward repeatedly pose the question of how gloomy circumstances challenge us, what our acceptance of difficult situations requires, and how not to lose sight of the next chapter in uncertain times.

It couldn’t be more fitting that Flash Forward would take this discussion of new beginnings to their sixth album with an outrageously fresh sonic repertoire: Never before has the band turned the “pop” in “pop-punk” inside out as confidently and innovatively as on “Endings = Beginnings,” while simultaneously embedding it in an alternative sound that no longer needs to hide from international role models. It’s a record that weaves brilliant synthesizers around the most stirring moments of You Me At Six and celebrates the unfailing anthems of The Hunna with the most sonic of bows.

Two songs with special guests particularly stand out from the album. “Young Blood” was a co-op alongside Australian pop-punk veterans Between You & Me – a song that instantly burrows into any playlist with its catchiness and has produced hundreds of thousands of streams worldwide since its release in the winter of 2021/2022.

Recently released, is the collaboration single “Over You,” on which Flash Forward got reinforcement from the British band As December Falls and their singer Bethany – a stirring duet and emphatic pop anthem.

When Flash Forward wrote their 2019 album Golden Rust, their life situation could hardly be more opposite than when they were making their current record. Recorded breakneck in the midst of a marathon tour alongside Palaye Royal, Enter Shikari, Deaf Havana and To The Rats And Wolves, the album logically also held as a basic insight into the conflict and the measureless overload in a relentless music industry and a fast-paced society. However, the band managed to place themselves on the 61st place of the German charts with “Golden Rust” and since then have completed many successful tours and festival appearances.

Three years and a pandemic later, Flash Forward recorded their best year in the band’s history so far in 2022 and were able to celebrate further successes in front of thousands of fans in the summer with appearances at major festivals such as Hurricane, Southside and Highfield. “Endings = Beginnings” sets the bar very high and will be released in December 2022 like its predecessor albums via Uncle M Music. Several detailed vinyl pressings of the album in surprising color combinations will be available exclusively in the band store as well.

Flash Forward are looking ahead to an even more promising year with the new album.
