Best of Last Week:
Fantastic Four: Road Trip #1 – It was an interesting story about the family on vacation, but the art really took me out of the story for the first half; it got better with the events of the story, but I really didn’t care for it.
Hellions #7 – I did a full review here, but the gist is the fallout of the team’s death against Arrako and starting their next mission; it was really well done.
King in Black #1 – I haven’t read the set up for this, so I was a little lost right off the bat. It didn’t take long for the battle against Knull to start, so that was a plus after X of Swords. I am getting burnt out on events though.
M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games #1 – M.O.D.O.K. is being challenged as the leader of A.I.M. and it’s a fun read. It’s a very comical book and the tone of the book was much different then a lot of what I normally read. It’s worth checking out.
The Union #1 – I wasn’t aware that this is a King in Black tie in, so I went in looking at this potential new team. Union Jack is the only character I knew (I believe most of the rest are new), so I was excited to see some new blood. Unfortunately the book was pretty bland and you don’t learn much. I’ll give the arc a chance, but I don’t know if I’ll be sticking around.
X-Factor #5 – I don’t think a book was hurt as much by X of Swords as X-Factor was; they didn’t complete their first arc before the crossover started and they finished it without much luster here. In fact, more of the issue was setting up the new arc rather then finishing the Mojoverse one. It wasn’t a bad issue, just disappointing the way it played out.
Don’t forget, the Krakoa Mutant Tracker is (supposed to be, but not right now) updated weekly as new books come to Marvel Unlimited.
