Checking In…

It’s been quiet around here recently. Life sometimes gets in the way of the fun stuff. I’m working to change that.

I’m going to try to get at least 1 post up per week. After things slow down, I’ll hopefully move to 3-4 articles per week with a regular podcast starting back up.

Besides the normal nerd stuff, I’m planning on getting more baseball analytical posts up; I’m in the process of learning R, the statistical and graphing language many MLB teams use. I’ll be able to dig into more numerical data and hopefully refine my projection system.

I’ll also start posting beer reviews; I’ve got a back log of them that need to be cleaned up and posted. I’ll also do some more home brewing posts; I have a few more recipes that ended up pretty well and will be moving into all grain brewing.

I also have a few projects outside of the site. I’m bringing back the St. Louis Cardinal preview book; it’s pretty much been an every other year thing and it’s time to do one.

I’m also still working on a Cardinals Hall of Fame casebook. I’m going to examine the players already inducted, set some statistical guidelines for new players, and evaluate who should be in.
