DOMIC releases ‘Messenger Of The Last Words’
Neoclassical metal, magical realism, and 25 years of history
Following their recent and acclaimed opening set for rock legend Graham Bonnet on July 23rd, Chilean band DOMIC presents ‘Messenger Of The Last Words’, the third and final promotional single ahead of the anticipated release of their album “Where Echoes End”, scheduled for September 2026.
Built on the power of neoclassical heavy metal, the song features a deeply poetic lyrical theme inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s magical realism. The narrative focuses on the final days of Amaranta Buendía in “One Hundred Years of Solitude”, who, upon learning the exact date of her death, dedicates herself to gathering letters from the living to deliver to their departed loved ones in the afterlife.
Beyond its lyrical concept, the single represents a major emotional and historic milestone: the celebration of 25 years of shared history between Paulo Domic (vocals), Cristian Maturana (bass), and Carlos Hernández (drums). Maturana and Hernández formed the legendary rhythm section of Inquisición, one of the foundational bands of Chilean heavy metal in the 1990s and early 2000s, the group where Domic began his career as a lead vocalist upon joining in 2001, and with whom they immortalized the acclaimed album “Metal Genocide”.
“This song is a celebration of life and music alongside Cristian and Carlos, with whom I’ve been sharing the stage for a quarter of a century since my beginnings, and whom I deeply value for their talent and unconditional friendship. It’s a reminder of how important it is to express what we feel in time,” states Paulo Domic.
The release also solidifies the band’s current lineup, confirming the official addition of guitarist Nicolás Díaz, who made his live debut during the recent show with Bonnet. This completes the definitive lineup as they prepare for new live challenges and future recording projects.
With ‘Messenger Of The Last Words’, DOMIC concludes its series of advance singles, paving the way for the full arrival of “Where Echoes End” in September, a production shaping up to be one of the most mature and ambitious Chilean rock and metal releases of 2026.
