Minecraft In The Real World!

Mojang has decided that they should expand Minecraft experiences beyond the digital. They have already given us Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue in Chicago but they are now bringing that experience to other areas including Herning, Singapore and Mexico City.

The other real world Minecraft experience they announced was a big one, Minecraft World! This is a full blown theme park, debuting in London’s Chessington World of Adventures, coming 2027.

A New Game!?

Minecraft has expanded to a few other games in the past, and now they will be giving us a sequel to the “hit game” Minecraft Dungeons. Minecraft Dungeons II will be debuting on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, PC, and Game Pass.

We don’t know much other than we will see new locations in the Minecraft universe and it will be the same style as the first Minecraft Dungeons. I have thoughts on this but I will save that for that part of the article.

Changes To Minecraft Proper!

There are three major changes coming to Minecraft proper; a new mob, the sulfur cube, will be added (of course) and baby mobs will be changed. The last is a new biome: the sulfur caves.

The Change to baby mobs is pretty simple; they are going to change each of the baby mobs so that they don’t just look like smaller versions of the original. I don’t have many thoughts on this, so all I will say is that I think this could be a good change. It most likely will be.

The sulfur caves has new blocks, cinnabar and sulfur. It also has pools of “noxious fluid” The sulfur caves are also where you find the sulfur cube and the sulfur cube is the most interesting thing to me. These cubes can consume any block, if I understand correctly. They will then take on attributes of what they consumed.

My Opinions?

I think this is an interesting Live. As someone who plays Minecraft a decent amount; I personally don’t care about the “real life experiences” but the in game experiences offset that for me.

Minecraft dungeons is my favorite of the none Minecraft games so I am decently excited for it. I do think it might be a little early, given the type of game it is but it is a game worthy of a sequel.

I always get excited for new mobs so obviously I am excited for the sulfur cube and the sulfur caves. I would also so that I am particularly excited for the sulfur cube and the sulfur caves because they seem like an interesting thing that I would like. The changes to baby mobs is less exciting however, I am still excited for this however. As someone who likes to mess around with the Redstone type mechanics of Minecraft, I do believe that the sulfur cube will be good for that.

So to recap, I think that Minecraft dungeons will be good but may nit have been necessary. I believe the sulfur cube will be the best (at least for people like me, who mess with Redstone and other mechanics) and the sulfur caves look just plain cool. Lastly, the new baby mobs are not very exciting but it does seem like something that can” possibly be bad
