Press Release: Eight Annual St. Louis Craft Beer Week Kicks Off
St. Louis Craft Beer Week marks its eight annual celebration of craft beer and the robust beer brewing history in St. Louis with a kickoff next Friday, July 29th. Festivities will run for 9 days through Saturday, August 6. This huge celebration begins with “2016 St. Louis Brewer’s Picnic” presented by Baileys’ Restaurant Group and taking place at the intersection of 10th and Locust St. The week wraps up with the 6th Annual Firkin Fest on August 6th, at International Tap House in Soulard.
With more than 125 events spread across 9 days, beer lovers will have the opportunity to discover all St. Louis’s craft beer scene has to offer. Featured events include:
- Beer Geek Fest on July 31st at the Craft Beer Cellar in Clayton featuring a grand tasting of beers from around the world. This free event provides samples of rare and well-known beers.
- Tallgrass Nuked Beer Pairing on August 1st at Fortune Teller Bar, this event pairs delicious Tallgrass beers with some of your favorite microwaved foods from your “misspent youth.”
- Barrel-Aged Blowout on August 3rd, highlighting a huge selection of big, barrel-aged beers at Llywelyn’s Webster Groves.
- Saint Louis Hop Shop’s 2nd Annual Shrimp Boil on August 4th, taking place at the Byrd & Barrel, it’s a collaboration with the aforementioned Byrd and Barrel and 4 Hands Brewing. Enjoy some delectable 4 Hands beers paired with a traditional shrimp boil.
Celebrations at each venue range from Tap Takeovers to Beer Breakfasts and Dinners, Yoga and Beer, Meet the Brewer nights, homebrewing classes, special beer tastings and releases and more.
