Canteen Brewhouse Wet Mountain IPA
I like seeing other beer reviews and what they do. I’ve tracked down a few different reviews of stuff I’ve tried and liked.
First up is Disorder’s review of Avery’s White Rascal. They give a quick rundown of the brewery (it’s actually in Boulder, not Boulcer; might be a translation thing since this is a Swedish blog). It’s a quick review, but it’s dead on; slightly bitter, but easy to drink. Score is about right too.
The Brew Review Crew have a video review of New Glarus’ Scream IPA; I’m a huge fan of this one and agree that it could be the breweries most underrated beer. I’ll be picking up another 6 pack when I hit Milwaukee in a few weeks.
I’ve heard of Lawson’s Finest Super Session, but haven’t had a chance to get my hands on it; according to Chad’s Beer Reviews, I should try to track it down. He gave it a 8 out of 10; it sounds like a solid session IPA.
MSN rates their 20 best beers. It’s not a great list though; a majority of them are from Hill Farmstead, which makes me think this list is skewed. Out of the 20, I’ve had 4: 13 New Glarus Serendipity, 7 Toppling Goliath (which I recently reviewed), 5 Three Floyds Zombie Dust, and 1 New Glarus Wisconsin Belgian Red. All four are good beers.
Finally, Boozology runs down the beer books you should own. I have Palmer’s How to Brew, but that’s it from the list. I’m going to have to search some of these out.
