While there is no word on all of the shows and movies leaving Netflix in September, it is known that the online streaming company will not renew it’s contract with Epix, a cable network that features movies from Paramount, MGM, and Lionsgate. That means movies like Hunger Games: Catching Fire, World War Z, and Transformers: Age of Extinction will be leaving Netflix at the end of the month. Epix is still working with Amazon Prime, along the recently announced partnership with Hulu.
The Epix library also includes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek: Into Darkness, World War Z, Wolf of Wall Street, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Robocop, God’s Not Dead, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, Anchorman 2, Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas, In a World, All is Lost, Much Ado About Nothing along with franchises James Bond, Rocky, Star Trek, Paranormal Activity, Beverly Hills Cop, and Friday the Thirteenth.
Netflix will focus on more of their self-produced titles, inlcuding Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday, A Very Murray Christmas, and 6 new movies from Adam Sandler.
