VinylCon! makes its long-awaited return to the West Coast with a two-day celebration of vinyl culture at the California Market Center (CMC) in Downtown Los Angeles on August 22nd & 23rd. The event, hailed as “the largest record fair in California that anyone can remember,” has announced its all-vinyl DJ lineup curated by renowned DJ and collector Skeme Richards including headlining sets by internationally acclaimed DJs Easy Mo Bee and Thes One.
Legendary producer and DJ Easy Mo Bee’s work helped define the sound of hip-hop through classic recordings with The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Craig Mack, Big Daddy Kane, Busta Rhymes, and Miles Davis, making him one of the most influential producers of the genre’s golden era.
Joining him is Los Angeles’ own Thes One, co-founder of the acclaimed independent hip-hop duo People Under the Stairs, whose two-decade career, global touring, and deep roots in vinyl culture have made him one of the underground’s most respected DJs, producers, and crate diggers.
The lineup also features Skeme Richards performing a set of his own, alongside beloved Los Angeles DJs and collectors including Mike Wallace, Ally O’Neil, Hector Waluyo, Aaron Paar, Randy Ellis, FROZ1, Dan Ubick, AM Sounds, McNasty, EZDUZIT, and Tripledouble each bringing their own distinct perspective and decades of record knowledge to create a nonstop soundtrack celebrating the depth, diversity, and enduring culture of vinyl.
Additional brand partnerships include Pioneer DJ by Alpha Theta, APM Music, Audio Media Group, and Tone Optic. The event will also host booths by record label partners including Jazz is Dead, Stones Throw, Mr. Bongo, In Sheep’s Clothing, Daptone Records, and Penrose Records. KCRW is VinylCon’s official radio partner who is engaging in several promotional activities in spreading the word and supporting the event.
The bar at the event will be curated by Only the Wild Ones, a listening bar dedicated to natural wines, small-batch spirits, and analog sound. With locations in Venice, California and New York City, the brand will soon expand to Austin, Texas. Expressing the important collaboration efforts between brands, Only The Wild Ones founder and owner Heather Tierrney says, “We’re thrilled to partner with VinylCon! to curate the bar program for the Los Angeles show. Our brands share a deep appreciation for analog culture and the kind of real-world connection that happens through music.” Food vendors include DTLA Ramen and Urli Bird coffee.
With established editions in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Denver, and the recent launch in Brooklyn, VinylCon! has quickly grown into a multi-city movement, uniting collectors, DJs, and music lovers across the country under a shared love of vinyl culture, and now looks forward to making an even bigger splash at its second iteration in Los Angeles.
The spring LA edition welcomed over 4,000 people through the doors, featured 100+ dealers from across the country and abroad; and was widely praised by collectors, DJs, and music lovers alike.
“The first two VinylCon! events in LA exceeded all of our expectations and we were blown away by the support from the LA music community” says VinylCon! founder Kobi Waldfogel. “We can’t wait to return to CMC and raise the bar even further on what a record fair can be!’”

After drawing thousands of music lovers from across the country, VinylCon! brings its unique blend of community, culture, and crate-digging back to one of the nation’s most music-rich cities offering a massive and diverse selection for collectors at every level. The August event is expected to exceed those numbers, with an even larger dealer presence, expanded international participation with multiple dealers traveling from the UK, and a wider and deeper selection of records across genres, era, and rarities.
“As a collector and enthusiast myself, I felt like the record fair I wanted to attend simply didn’t exist,” says Waldenfogel. “VinylCon! is meant to be both accessible to newcomers and respected by veteran collectors. The LA edition will continue to raise the bar.”
VinylCon! promises to be a welcome space for music lovers to connect, discover, and celebrate the physical format.
