Indie Icons Pinwheel Valley Share New Single “Someway”

Canadian indie outfit Pinwheel Valley unveil their latest single, “Someway”, a tender and emotionally rich track released via Hot Soap Records. Following the success of their previous single “Werewolf,” which premiered in METAL Magazine and received airplay on RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ 2XM, and NPR Music, “Someway” continues the band’s journey into deeply introspective and genre-blurring soundscapes.

With over 2 million streams across platforms and features in CLASH Magazine, NOTION, Earmilk, and Billboard Argentina, Pinwheel Valley have carved out a reputation for emotional depth and sonic ambition. Their single “Your Superman” debuted at No. 13 on the US iTunes Alternative Chart, while award-winning videos for “Willow” and “Abduction” earned Best Music Video honors at international film festivals including New York Film Awards, Vegas Movie Awards, and the Swedish International Film Festival.

About the Band

Led by Jordanian-Canadian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Qais Khoury, Pinwheel Valley is a project born of introspection and exploration. Originally known as KAIS, the band has evolved into a full live ensemble featuring:

Their sound fuses Indie Soul, Alt-Rock, and Folktronica, drawing inspiration from Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver, James Blake, and Radiohead. At once cinematic and intimate, their music explores the tension between human instinct and the pressures of modern life.

About “Someway”

Written and produced by Qais Khoury, “Someway” sees Pinwheel Valley veer into soft Indie Folk territory. With intimate acoustic guitar, airy atmospherics, and minimal percussion, the track carries Qais’ impassioned vocals — controlled yet aching with emotion.

“I wrote ‘Someway’ as a tender plea, woven with threads of hope and longing,” says Qais. “It reflects the ache of separation and the deep yearning for reconnection. Inspired by a bygone era when messages in bottles carried words of love across vast, uncertain distances, the refrain ‘know I’ll find it someway’ becomes an unyielding anchor of hope.”
