Cardinals Announce 2025 Opening Day Roster
CARDINALS ANNOUNCE 2025 OPENING DAY ROSTER
15 PLAYERS DEVELOPED WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION; ONE 1ST-TIME CARDINAL

ST. LOUIS, Mo., March 27, 2025 – The St. Louis Cardinals will begin their 134th season of play in the National League today when they host the Minnesota Twins at 3:15 p.m. CDT in the season opening game of the 162-game Major League Baseball regular season.
The team’s 26-player active roster includes one first-time Cardinal (Phil Maton) and 15 players who were developed within the Cardinals organization.
The following is the Cardinals 2025 Opening Day active roster and injured list:
PITCHERS (13): Erick Fedde (RHP)*, Ryan Fernandez (RHP), Sonny Gray (RHP)*, Ryan Helsley (RHP), John King (LHP), Kyle Leahy (RHP), Matthew Liberatore (LHP)*, Phil Maton (RHP), Steven Matz (LHP), Miles Mikolas (RHP)*, Andre Pallante (RHP)*, JoJo Romero (LHP) and Chris Roycroft (RHP);
CATCHERS (2): Iván Herrera and Pedro Pagés;
INFIELDERS (7): Nolan Arenado, Luken Baker, Alec Burleson, Willson Contreras, Brendan Donovan, Nolan Gorman and Masyn Winn;
OUTFIELDERS (4): Lars Nootbaar, Victor Scott II, Michael Siani and Jordan Walker;
INJURED LIST (1): Zack Thompson (LHP).
