DEAD RITUALS Revisits Various Artists With A Shoegaze Twist On New Covers EP

Dead Rituals revisits Neil Young, Nirvana, Mac Miller, and The Ramones With a Shoegaze twist on a new EP

Dead Rituals

Dead Rituals has been straddling the line between Post-Punk and Shoegaze, releasing original songs and EPs since 2019. Still, songwriter Andrea Caccese felt stranded and alone throughout the 2020 lockdown.

When stuck in a one-room apartment with uncertainty and doubt, it’s not always easy to be productive. The Italian musician sought refuge in some of his favorite songs to counter that. This resulted in a series of covers. They revisited the originals by incorporating post-punk and shoegaze influences. Some of the songs ended up on a small EP.

“Selected Covers” features a surprisingly diverse setlist. The band offers a different spin on tracks by Radiohead, Neil Young, Mac Miller, Nirvana, Ramones, Blink-182, and even Justin Bieber!

Dead Rituals will release the EP via Spotify on Friday, March 24th.
