2023 Cardinals Salary Matrix

Here is the new salary matrix for the Cardinals; they have $141,300,000 committed to 2023 before final arbitration numbers (I’m using the projections from MLB Trade Rumors) and contract renewals. The matrix also includes all future salaries and shows club control for young players.

This will be updated all season long. I’ll add any new additions to the 40-man and arbitration results before the season starts, and this will be updated with roster movement once the season starts. There will also be option/buyout info; since the buyouts are guaranteed at this point, that will be used for future salaries (the Cardinals had no options for the 2023 season, hence no buyouts).

The 2nd tab of the sheets holds contract details, like deferred money (Adam Wainwright), money from other clubs (Nolan Arenado), incentives, and option details.
