IBWAA SELECTS GOLDSCHMIDT, JUDGE IN 2022 MVP VOTE
November 11, 2022 – The Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA) announced the IBWAA Most Valuable Awards winners Thursday: Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals and Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees. This is the IBWAA’s 14th annual election for these awards. All IBWAA members were eligible to vote.
Election results are as follows:
AL:
1st Place: Aaron Judge, New York Yankees- 959 points
2nd Place: Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels- 751 points
3rd Place: Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros- 467 points
NL:
1st Place: Paul Goldschmidt, St. Louis Cardinals- 906 points
2nd Place: Nolan Arenado, St. Louis Cardinals- 582 points
3rd Place: Manny Machado, San Diego Padres- 523 points
The IBWAA endeavors to serve the baseball writing community, representing more than 750 baseball content creators. We strive to increase visibility, networking, and opportunities for all of our members. Voting for full-season awards takes place in September of each year, with selections announced in November. The IBWAA also holds Hall of Fame, preseason prediction, and All-Star Game voting.
