THE BRKN Join Forces with THE DANGEROUS SUMMER for a 2022 Tour
THE BRKN JOIN FORCES WITH THE DANGEROUS SUMMER FOR A 2022 TOUR THROUGHOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM, EUROPE, AND THE USA
COME OUTSIDE OUT NOW
“bright and punchy indie-pop awaits all those who venture into The BRKN’s sophomore EP. With direct nods to The 1975 and others in the modern pop/rock space, Come Outside is an invitation to dwell in our depths; to spread our wings and fly high, sweep low, and embrace everything in-between” – Atwood Magazine
After a successful tour with The Dangerous Summer in late 2019, The BRKN was road-ready and revitalized more than ever as they geared up for a late winter 2020 run to support their debut EP, No. 3, but after one date the world went into quarantine due to Covid-19 and the band headed home. Not being able to tour, they turned to writing new material, which when recorded, perfectly encapsulated a sonic shift for the band as the three-piece stretched the boundaries of their sound.
The BRKN is Jacob Cade [vocals, guitar], Mike Bokenkamp [drums], and MJ Younkers [guitar.]
“I’m incredibly thankful to TDS for having us out on tour again. This run is the biggest thing we’ve ever done collectively and as individuals. It’s gonna be an experience and I cannot wait to get out there,” says frontman Cade.
The band has been itching to get back on the road and share their new songs live so when they got the call from The Dangerous Summer inviting them to join the upcoming 2022 tours in the United Kingdom, Europe, the USA, and they could not have been more excited.
Bokenkamp explains, “We toured with The Dangerous Summer in the fall of 2019, and it was an absolute blast. I think we all are just really pumped to play more shows, make new friends, meet new fans, and do it all while supporting our boys in TDS.” Younkers chimes in “For me, this has been a dream since I was thirteen. The guys are like my second family, and I can’t wait to set out together and connect night after night with people. Music is healing, joy is contagious. I can’t wait to jump around and share in that excitement.”
“It’s an explosive set of rockin,’ poppy, punky, and synthy songs” – I’m Music Magazine. On Come Outside the Denver trio wrap energetic pop in warm synths, straddling punk, alternative, indie rock, and electronic all at once. Stream it here: https://ingroov.es/come-outside
