New Album Computers For The Hood Out Now

August 18, 2021 (Staten Island, NY) – After the release of Computers For The Hood, his new collaboration album with producer DLP,iNTeLL (mastermind behind 2ND GENERATION WU, son of Wu-Tang Clan’s U-God, and carrier of the legendary hip hop collective’s creative torch) has now dropped a brand new remix of “Beatside Staten.” The track adds a brand new verse from Staten Island based rapper The Truth and is available now on all DSPs.

Prominent in the Staten Island rap scene, The Truth’s latest record Badfellas recently passed over 300k streams on Spotify. Eddy I., who was featured on the original track, has been a notable figure in the international battle rap scene.

“After Peter Rosenberg [​on-air DJ for ​NYC’s premiere commercial hip hop radio station] played the original on the radio for a few weeks, I thought it would be a great idea to link with another top tier Staten Island artist and build a dope remix,” says iNTeLL about how the remix came together. “It’s interesting to because The Truth and I once had some minor tension, but after I reached out, he was very receptive and ready to put the past behind us to make a great record. I must say, I’m very impressed with how this remix came together. I love it more than the original. The track was recorded, mixed and mastered at Blurred Noize Studio right here in our hometown of Staten Island.”  

The journey to Computers For The Hood was a long and arduous one for iNTeLL, as he was having creative burnout coupled with the ongoing stresses caused by the COVID pandemic. However, this road has led to the best work of his career so far. Computers For The Hood is a tight 11 track showcase for the synergy between creative partner DLP’s raw old school-influenced production that still has a modern flair perfect for 2021 and iNTeLL’s beatwork of memorable bars, hooks, and stories that serve as a perfect homage to his home turf of Staten Island. “We ended up being able to secure verses from Method Man, Del, the Team Backpack champion Denzil Porter, Tahmell (son of Rakim), my second collaboration with Mickey Factz, Ruste Juxx, and the king of lyrical Horrorcore R.A. The Rugged Man,” he describes. “This little project turned into a full-fledged studio album with notable features, incredible production and a message that resonates.”

Computers For The Hood by 2nd Generation WU’s iNTeLL x DLP and the “Beatside Staten” remix are both out now independently. iNTeLL is available for interviews.
