ST. LOUIS, Mo., May 21, 2026 – Registration is now open for the 34th Ted Savage Cardinals Care Classic scheduled for Thursday, September 10 at Whitmoor Country Club. The tournament will feature a 10 a.m. shotgun start and will kick off the 2006 World Champion team reunion weekend, presented by Heartland Coca-Cola.
This year’s event will include appearances by Cardinals Hall of Famers Tony La Russa and José Oquendo, along with alumni Gary Bennett, Randy Flores, John Gall, Anthony Reyes, John Rodriguez, Scott Spiezio, Jeff Suppan, Brad Thompson, and Jeff Weaver with additional participants to be announced.
Established in 1990 by the late Cardinals player and front office executive Ted Savage, the tournament was created to support youth participating in the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program. Through the Ted Savage Cardinals Care Classic, Cardinals Care has contributed more than $500,000 to help expand opportunities for young athletes in the community.
“The Ted Savage Cardinals Care Classic remains one of our premier fundraising events,” said Michael Hall, Vice President of Community Relations and Executive Director of Cardinals Care. “We are grateful to the Cardinals alumni, partners, and fans who come together each year to support programs that give kids in our community the chance to play and grow through the game of baseball.”
Participants will enjoy a full day of golf at Whitmoor Country Club, with a Cardinals celebrity joining each foursome. Registration includes a continental breakfast, on-course refreshments, post-round cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres, and an opportunity to interact with Cardinals alumni. Golfers will also receive a commemorative swag bag, and prizes will be awarded for team finishes, longest drives, and closest-to-the-pin contests.
Fans are encouraged to visit cardinals.com/golf for updates as additional alumni are announced. For registration or sponsorship information, contact rb*****@*******ls.com or call 314.345.9418.
