This Week On Marvel Unlimited brings us a fall, a conclusion, a reprint, and more.
Marvel continues to build buzz on their events by releasing another book early on the app; you can get the first 2 issues of the Fall of the House of X this week. They also reprint a classic, conclude Dark Droids (at least the main book), and introduce another end of the Marvel Universe story.
Black Panther starts a new arc, but it also deals with the fallout of the previous arc; I’m not sure if it’s a good jumping on point. Fall of the House of X gets an early release on the app, but they haven’t released Rise of the Power of X which ties in; look for a reading order coming up soon. Giant-Sized Super-Stars reprints the Hulk vs the Thing at Madison Square Garden.
Predator vs Wolverine is the final issue of the mini-series. Star Wars: Dark Droids is the end of the core event; there are still a couple of tie-in books to come. Timeless is an end of Marvel event where the newest incarnation of Moon Knight takes on the final living hero, Power Man; it’s just not the Moon Knight and Power Man you are used to.

Quick hit reviews
Daredevil: Black Armor #2: Set in a period where Matt Murdock is “dead” and Jack Battlin is helping out in Hells Kitchen, this new armored Daredevil is investigating the disappearance of random people. As he’s patrolling, he encounters Sabretooth and Hobgoblin. This issue, after a fight with Hobgoblin he discovers that Baron Strucker is the ringleader and kidnapping people to fight in an arena for high wager gambling. It’s a meh series that really won’t stand the test of time while also not screwing up the history of Daredevil. Grade C-.
Original X-Men #1: The original 5 X-Men are plucked from the multiverse by a Jean Grey who is trying to stop the Phoenix-force from consuming a different reality; she choses our original 5 because of their history of time travel and dealing with their older selves. She restores their memories of time travel and they get to work. This one-shot sets up a bigger issue, where it’s not the Phoenix force at work. It’s a fun series and worth a read if you are into X-Men books. Grade B.
Star Wars: Revelations #1: This one-shot sets up a lot of what is currently going on in the Star Wars comic universe in a series of small stories. Dengar is being tried in court for destroying Empire property; the advocate is going to work with Lando in the main Star Wars book. Bounty Hunter Raslin Grace tells a story of an unbelievable hunt; she’s going after Doctor Aphra next. Jango Fett is looking for information on the Hope of Glee Anselm while Aurra Sing is looking for him; it sets up his new series. Mace Windu is investigating prison breaks; this sets up his new series. Darth Vader reminds the rebels how menacing he is; Vader is searching for mechanically augmented rebels in his ongoing book. Keeve Trennis is searching for Avar Kriss when she’s attacked by the Nihil; the search for Kriss continues in the High Republic. Finally, Rik Duel fails his way up Jabba’s trusted associate list; his story is supposed to continue, but the book doesn’t say where (maybe a Jabba comic?). Fun book that doesn’t give you much; Grade C+.
I wanted to get to G.O.D.S., but haven’t finished the first issue yet; from what I’ve read, I’ve enjoyed. I’ll probably go back and get caught up on Superior Spider-Man as well.
