Cardinals To Host 12th Annual Holiday Gift Drive

CARDINALS TO HOST 12TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE

Fans Encouraged to Donate New, Unwrapped Toys at Busch Stadium on November 29

ST. LOUIS, Mo., November 16, 2023 – The St. Louis Cardinals and Cards Care are teaming up with the American Red Cross, KMOV, and Delaware North Sportservice for the 12th annual Holiday Gift Drive.

Fans can support this gift drive for local children of all ages by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy or gift card at Gate 4 of Busch Stadium on Wedneday, November 29^th between 7 am and 2pm.   Fans who donate a toy or gift card at Busch Stadium will receive a thermal mug full of hot chocolate from Delaware North Sportservice and a token of appreciation from the team, while supplies last.  Fans who are unable to drop off a toy can make a tax-deductible donation at cardinals.com/giftdrive starting today through November 29^th.

The toys collected and funds raised will provide holiday gifts to children of military families at a Breakfast with Santa at Scott Air Force Base.  Donations will also be distributed to select Cardinals Care partner agencies including the American Red Cross, Angels’ Arms, Annie Malone Children & Family Service Center, Marygrove, Midtown Community Services and SouthSide Early Childhood Center, to provide holiday gifts for the children they serve.

Cards Care was established to give fans a way to team up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in our community—both on and off the baseball field.  Established in 1997, Cards Care has invested over $31 million to support St. Louis area children, built or renovated 24 youth ball fields in local under-resourced neighborhoods, and distributed over $17 million in grants to nonprofit organizations.  2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the innovative Redbird Rookies program, a free co-ed baseball/softball league for kids who otherwise might not have the opportunity to play.
