AEW Elevation and Rampage Spoilers: Road Rager 06/15/2022 (With Pictures)

Last night was a great night of AEW Wrestling; along with the outstanding live episode of Dynamite, Elevation was recorded beforehand and the Road Rager edition of Rampage was recorded afterwards. Here’s a quick rundown of the matches and results:

Here are the matches for Elevation (to air on YouTube on 6/20):

• Serena Deeb and Mercedes Martinez def. Tootie Lynn and Heather Reckless
• Andrade El Idolo def. Frankie Kazarian
• Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Max the Impaler and Heidi Howitzer
• Swerve in Our Glory def. Grindhouse (Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett…Keith Lee was still upset about the Battle Royale elimination by Swerve and they were not on the same page.
• Anna Jay def. Rebel
• Tony Nese (with Mark Sterling) def. Warhorse
• Ruby Soho def. Miranda Gordy
• Matt Sydal def. QT Marshall

Sydal got the win because he’s a St. Louis guy and he gets a push when he comes back to town. Tootie Lynn, Grindhouse, and Warhorse are local wrestlers who participate in Glory Pro Wrestling.

And now Rampage (to air on TNT on 6/17)…

Jon Moxley defeated Dante Martin: Dante started the match by extending his hand for a handshake; Moxley smacked it away. It was a good back and forth match with Dante hitting a few of his high flying moves. Moxley got the pin with a submission hold. After the match, Moxley bowed in a sign of respect to the Dante while he was still down.

Max Caster and the Gunn Club Ass Boys (with Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn) defeated Leon Ruff and Bear Country: This was a squash. The rap was pretty good with Max noting that he signed an NDA (referencing Vince McMahon’s current issues). The Acclaimed/Ass Boys team up might be one of my favorite things in AEW right now.

Jade Cargill (TBS Champion, with Keira Hogan and Stokely Hathaway) defeated Willow Nightengale: Hathaway stayed at the desk for commentary during the match. Willow showed some early offense in a pretty even match. Hogan was able to help when Cargill distracted the ref. Jade ended up hitting the Jaded for the win. After the match, Hogan and Cargill continued to beat down Willow; Athena’s music hit and she snuck in from the crowd. She took out Hogan, but Cargill took her out. The beatdown continued until Kris Statlander smacked Hathaway in the head and cleared the ring.

A promo with Hookhausen announced that Hook will be facing a younger member of NJPW at the Forbidden Door PPV.

Darby Allin defeated Bobby Fish in the Main Event: Fish had most of the offense; Darby took some major hits into the guard rails. There was a cool Coffin Drop off the top turnbuckle to the outside by Darby. He ended up pinning Fish with a rollup. O’Reilly makes his way tot he ring after the match to attack Darby, but the lights go out. They come back on and IT’S STING in between O’Reilly and the ring. He low blows O’Reilly, throws a chair into the ring, and Darby stomps the chair with Fish’s ankle in it. ReDragon retreats (O’Reilly really sold the low blow, which was hilarious).

After the cameras stop, Tony Khan brings out Tony Schiavone, Hook, and Danhausen and brings them to the ring. Danhausen steals from Schiavone: IT’S STINGHAUSEN. Sting gets on the mic and introduces himself as Stinghausen, thanks the crowd for years of support, and says he’s doesn’t have much time left in the ring. A “Thank You Sting” chant breaks out. Khan thanks the crowd for coming and the event was over.
