Cardinals Invite Kids to Play Ball at Busch Stadium on June 10th

Free Event Marks Kickoff to MLB’s PLAY BALL Weekend

ST. LOUIS, Mo., May 25, 2022 – During the weekend of June 10-12, all Major League Baseball teams are coming together to encourage children to engage with the games of baseball and softball as part of MLB’s PLAY BALL initiative.  Registration is now open for the Cardinals PLAY BALL event, presented by Nike, on June 10, 2022.  The event will take place from 9 am until 12:30 pm both on-field at Busch Stadium and at Ballpark Village. 

Kids ages 8-13 will have the chance to participate in one of two on-field clinics taught by Cardinals Alumni, while kids ages 3-7 will have an opportunity to run the bases at Busch Stadium.  All participants can engage in other fun activities at Together Credit Union Plaza in Ballpark Village, plus all participants will receive:

• A PLAY BALL bat and ball set
• Two (2) tickets to the Cardinals game on either Friday, June 10th or Sunday, June 12th versus the Cincinnati Reds
• $5 off a purchase of $25 or more at participating Ballpark Village restaurants
• 10% off promo code for a Cardinals Kids Club Membership

The PLAY BALL initiative is baseball’s collective effort to encourage young people and communities to engage in baseball or softball related activities, including formal leagues, special events and casual forms of play. PLAY BALL events have become MLB’s signature youth engagement activity during the professional and amateur baseball and softball calendar, especially on key dates throughout MLB’s Championship Season and through the Postseason & World Series. PLAYBALL events demonstrate the positive way the game can serve as an outlet for physical activity, fun with friends and learning how to play the sport at its most basic levels.
