Cardinals Care Spring Grant Cycle To Aid 54 Area Nonprofits

Over $119,000 Donated Among Area Groups That Serve Youth

ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 13, 2022 – The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that Cardinals Care, the charitable arm of the team, distributed over $119,000 in grant money to 54 area nonprofit organizations that support area children as part of the foundation’s spring grant cycle.  The grants will be used to fund tangible items, one-time capital expenses and special supplies or purchases that directly benefit children.

“We are proud to provide financial support to a wide variety of local nonprofits that share in our mission to support kids,” said Michael Hall, Vice President, Community Relations & Executive Director of Cardinals Care.  “We are grateful for our fans who continue to support Cardinals Care through our various fundraising efforts which allows us to fund our annual grant program.”

Cardinals Care was established to give fans a way of teaming up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in the community—both on and off the baseball field.  Cardinals Care has provided over $15 million in grants to non-profits since 1997.

Organizations that have been a 501(c)(3) for at least one year and are interested in applying for a Cardinals Care grant during the summer grant cycle can do so through June 30, 2022 at cardinals.com/grants.
