ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 25, 2015 – The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have activated right-handed pitcher Lance Lynn (right forearm strain) from the 15-day disabled list and Lynn is scheduled to start tonight’s series finale in Miami.
To make room for Lynn on the team’s 25-man active roster, left-handed pitcher Tyler Lyons was optioned to Memphis (AAA) following last night’s game. Lynn, 28, is 4-4 with a 3.07 ERA in 12 games started this season. His last outing came on June 7 at Los Angeles in a 4-2 win for the Cardinals.
Lyons, 27, made two starts for the Cardinals while Lynn was on the disabled list and provided wins on both June 13 vs. Kansas City and June 19 at Philadelphia.
