Rather than doing it in order of release, I decided to piece together the chronological timeline of events. I’ve looked at many different sources and going off my memory, here’s what I believe the order should be. I note where a few of the flashbacks go, but there are way too many to list everything. I might go back at some point to put every event in order based off where they go. | Title | Media | Comments | | Captain America: The First Avenger | Film – Phase I | The end of the movie takes place before Avengers | | Agent Carter | Short | On Iron Man 3 disc | | Agent Carter | TV – Season 1 | — | | Agent Carter | TV – Season 2 | — | | Iron Man | Film – Phase I | — | | Incredible Hulk | Film – Phase I | — | | Iron Man 2 | Film – Phase I | — | | The Consultant | Short | On Thor disc | | A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer | Short | On Captain America: The First Avenger disc | | Thor | Film – Phase I | — | | Avengers | Film – Phase I | — | | Item 47 | Short | On Avengers disc | | Iron Man 3 | Film – Phase II | — | | All Hail the King | Short | On Thor: The Dark World disc | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 1 | Episodes 1-7 | | Thor: The Dark World | Film – Phase II | — | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 1 | Episodes 8-16 | | Captain America: The Winter Soldier | Film – Phase II | — | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 1 | Episodes 17-22 | | Guardians of the Galaxy | Film – Phase II | — | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 2 | Episodes 1-19 | | Guardians of the Galaxy 2 | Film – Phase III | Ego flashbacks take place in 1980, between Agent Carter and Iron Man. | | Daredevil | TV – Season 1 | Netflix | | Avengers: Age of Ultron | Film – Phase II | — | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 2 | Episodes 20-22 | | WHIH Newsfront with Christine Everhart | Web | Episodes 1-5 | | Ant-Man | Film – Phase II | Flashbacks to Hank Pym and SHIELD take place in 1984, between Agent Carter and Iron Man. | | Jessica Jones | TV – Season 1 | Netflix | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 3 | Episodes 1-10 | | Daredevil | TV – Season 2 | Netflix | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 3 | Episodes 11-19 | | WHIH Newsfront with Christine Everhart | Web | Episodes 6-10 | | Captain America: Civil War | Film – Phase III | — | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 3 | Episodes 20-22 | | Black Panther | Film – Phase III | — | | Luke Cage | TV – Season 1 | Netflix | | Doctor Strange | Film – Phase III | The movie starts before the events of Captain America: Civil War, but finishes here. | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 4 | Episodes 1-8 | | Agents of SHIELD: Slingshot | Web | — | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 4 | Episodes 9-15 | | Iron Fist | TV – Season 1 | Netflix | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 4 | Episodes 16-22 | | Spider-Man: Homecoming | Film – Phase III | — | | The Defenders | TV – Season 1 | Netflix | | Inhumans | TV – Season 1 | — | | Thor: Ragnarok | Film – Phase III | — | | The Punisher | TV – Season 1 | Netflix | | Runaways | TV – Season 1 | Hulu | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 5 | Episodes 1-10 | | Jessica Jones | TV – Season 2 | Netflix | | Agents of SHIELD | TV – Season 5 | Episodes 11-19 | | Cloak and Dagger | TV – Season 1 | Freeform | | Avengers: Infinity War | Film – Phase III | — | _Ant-Man and the Wasp_ will probably fit in between _Captain America: Civil War_ and _Black Panther_, as it is rumored to deal with the fall-out of _Civil War_ ( as mentioned in _Infinity War_). _Venom_ comes out at the end of the year, but it appears to not be a part of the MCU. _Captain Marvel_ is supposedly set in the 1990s, so it’ll be after the _Agent Carter_ stuff and before Iron Man. _Avengers 4_ should pick up right after _Infinity War_. _Guardians of the Galaxy 3_ will pick up after _Avengers 4_ according to a tweet I received from James Gunn. Also in the pipeline is Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 (which really needs a different name, and I expect it will), _Black Panther 2_, _Luke Cage_ season 2, _Daredevil_ season 3, _The Punisher_ season 2, _Iron Fist_ season 2, _Jessica Jones_ season 3, _Runaways_ season 2, and the _New Warriors_ season 1. As more information comes out, this will be updated. ### Share this: * [ Facebook ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=facebook) * [ X ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=x) * [ Email ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?subject=%5BShared%20Post%5D%20The%20Official%20Nyrdcast%20MCU%20Timeline&body=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nyrdcast.com%2Fthe-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline%2F&share=email) * [ LinkedIn ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=linkedin) * [ Mastodon ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=mastodon) * [ Nextdoor ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=nextdoor) * [ Pinterest ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=pinterest) * [ Reddit ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=reddit) * [ Tumblr ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/the-official-nyrdcast-mcu-timeline/?share=tumblr) ### Like this: Like Loading… ### _Related_
