The album captures the band’s signature blend of melodic grit and emotional depth, reaffirming their place among the most respected voices to emerge from the 1990s Boston underground. [⌊Six Going On Seven⌉⌊Six Going On Seven⌉[ _“This record came together organically,” _shares vocalist/bassist **Josh English**._“ We didn’t set out to recreate the past — we wanted to write from where we are now. The songs reflect everything we’ve lived through since those early days, but they still carry that same sense of urgency and honesty that defined us from the start.”_ Emerging from the same scene that birthed genre-defining acts like **The Get Up Kids, Karate, **and** Hot Water Music,** Six Going On Seven quickly became a “band’s band,” admired for their balance of intensity and melody. With _Human Tears_, the trio — **Josh English (vocals/bass)**, **James Bransford (guitar)**, and **Will Bartlett (drums)** — reconnect to their roots while expanding their sonic scope, delivering a record steeped in reflection, resilience, and melody. Across albums like _Self-Made Mess_ (1997), _Heartbreak’s Got Backbeat_ (1999), and _American’t (Or Won’t)_ (2001), the band built a reputation for introspective songwriting and impassioned live performances — touring alongside T**he Get Up Kids, Hot Water Music**, and **Jimmy Eat World.** After more than two decades away, _Human Tears_ signals a powerful new beginning— a return not as nostalgia, but as evolution. **Six Going On Seven — “Jack Jones” single out Friday, November 7** **Full album _Human Tears_ out January 9, 2026 via Spartan Records** **Social Media:** [Website](https://zjwgpy.clicks.mlsend.com/td/cl/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEwOTI4NjUsXCJsXCI6MTcwMzM2NTQyNjQyOTMwNzY5LFwiclwiOjE3MDMzNjU1NDg4NTA1NjEzMH0iLCJzIjoiZmEwYjFlNWYxNWMxMTQzMCJ9) | [Instagram](https://zjwgpy.clicks.mlsend.com/td/cl/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEwOTI4NjUsXCJsXCI6MTcwMzM2NTQyNjQ5MjIyMjMwLFwiclwiOjE3MDMzNjU1NDg4NTA1NjEzMH0iLCJzIjoiZTEyZWIwZTg2ODI5MDZiNyJ9) [[ **Follow Spartan Records** [Website](https://zjwgpy.clicks.mlsend.com/td/cl/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEwOTI4NjUsXCJsXCI6MTcwMzM2NTQyNjU1NTEzNjk0LFwiclwiOjE3MDMzNjU1NDg4NTA1NjEzMH0iLCJzIjoiM2NlOWE5MjAzODAxNGE2MyJ9) | [Instagram](https://zjwgpy.clicks.mlsend.com/td/cl/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEwOTI4NjUsXCJsXCI6MTcwMzM2NTQyNjYyODUzNzMxLFwiclwiOjE3MDMzNjU1NDg4NTA1NjEzMH0iLCJzIjoiYTM0ZTM1NzkwNWM1MzgyOCJ9) | [Facebook](https://zjwgpy.clicks.mlsend.com/td/cl/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEwOTI4NjUsXCJsXCI6MTcwMzM2NTQyNjY5MTQ1MTkxLFwiclwiOjE3MDMzNjU1NDg4NTA1NjEzMH0iLCJzIjoiZDFiMmY3MzEyODBjZDM4NCJ9) | [X/Twitter](https://zjwgpy.clicks.mlsend.com/td/cl/eyJ2Ijoie1wiYVwiOjEwOTI4NjUsXCJsXCI6MTcwMzM2NTQyNjc1NDM2NjUyLFwiclwiOjE3MDMzNjU1NDg4NTA1NjEzMH0iLCJzIjoiNmFkNWNiMDI2N2Y1NTEzMiJ9) [⌊Earshot Media⌉⌊Earshot Media⌉[ ### Share this: * [ Facebook ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=facebook) * [ X ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=x) * [ Email ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?subject=%5BShared%20Post%5D%20SIX%20GOING%20ON%20SEVEN%20Release%20%22Jack%20Jones%22%20Ahead%20Of%20Jan%209th%20%27Human%20Tears%27&body=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nyrdcast.com%2Fsix-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears%2F&share=email) * [ LinkedIn ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=linkedin) * [ Mastodon ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=mastodon) * [ Nextdoor ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=nextdoor) * [ Pinterest ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=pinterest) * [ Reddit ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=reddit) * [ Tumblr ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/six-going-on-seven-release-jack-jones-ahead-of-jan-9th-human-tears/?share=tumblr) ### Like this: Like Loading… ### _Related_
