Moonraker’s Los Angeles melodic punk sound blends explosive hooks and relentless energy with lyrics that are anxious, sarcastic, and human. The album is noted as possibly Moonraker’s best work yet, with recording took place in Denver with Chris Fogal (PEARS, The Bombpops, Joey Cape) at Black in Bluhm. Chris Fogal’s work on his band The Gamits’ album Parts influenced the project’s direction. **Key quotes from the band** * David Green, Moonraker drummer/vocalist, on the album: “Just keep ringing your bell. It’s something I say to myself a lot when I’m unsure… The answer is always,‘ Just keep ringing your bell.’ People might hear you, people might not, but they definitely won’t be able to hear you if you stop ringing it.” * Green on the meaning behind the title Me And The Bells: “I’ve had the phrase ‘ Me and the Bells’ written down in my notebook for almost as long as we’ve been a band… Maybe these songs are my bells to ring.” ![](https://ci3.googleusercontent.com/meips/ADKq_NbC-6VtVRrHmmtIklLhnbUFe_U__h_hVskhw9- YSp9uRUXGlEF6P1dxhNCHj3V8g0LBEsZTQpBVSB6rtYgvcqtQPEc4d-7jMjcFK4kceXS7H2scx0PrjiBnSVAJqEtSIYiGenZN2aaK_AYm8EBxq6wSqTUlvZGIbkAUoigrifH5P8k =s0-d-e1-ft#https://gallery.eomail6.com/3ec5709e-d71e-11f0-8843-aba62206822c%2F01a086e3- 9979-78d6-abca-15627ed40bbf.jpeg) **About The Band** ![](https://ci3.googleusercontent.com/meips/ADKq_NbkvkPECanaEtpdNaL3VsEelBCuNSNDmAq0pb9dlWEjpjyhaZbZYiv0wibIt_63_pgO7sXmdhTWI6p6Hkj7GOF1XlEcs2OJBCBbDuhryd1iRJz8zYuOPGGHfMqWT4D1onw3fZoy6Ka6X2LuVdnG1Uh4x7SjwasSvLHEVOftKum9PQ =s0-d-e1-ft#https://gallery.eomail6.com/3ec5709e-d71e-11f0-8843-aba62206822c%2F019eb4aa- 6be0-7c29-ba20-9b2c7d98bc30.png) Moonraker is a California melodic punk band known for blending emotionally heavy songwriting with sharp wit, existential humor, and explosive energy. Calling themselves“ The Michael Jordan of baseball of punk rock.” Drawing influence from skate punk, 90s melodic hardcore, and modern emo-punk, the band has built a reputation for deeply personal lyrics wrapped in driving hooks and chaotic honesty.    Since forming in the early 2010s, Moonraker has released multiple acclaimed projects including _Fail Better_, _Lanterns_, and _The Forest_, earning praise throughout the independent punk scene for their unique voice and emotionally intelligent songwriting. Their music balances vulnerability and sarcasm, often exploring themes of anxiety, isolation, self-destruction, and survival through a lens that feels both devastating and strangely hopeful.    Sonically, the band sits somewhere between gritty SoCal punk and emotionally charged Midwestern melodic punk, creating songs that hit just as hard lyrically as they do musically. With a growing catalog, passionate fanbase, and reputation for unforgettable live performances, Moonraker continues to carve out a distinct place in modern punk rock.    In April 2026, the band signed with Punkerton Records, marking a new chapter as they prepare to bring their music to an even wider audience   **Follow Moonraker[Instagram](https://sptr.eomail6.com/f/a/Z06beV_tr47GFjPKDqm6zQ~~/AAAHURA~/GApbeUqFfVE9s-3e7mrU10H9cXBkfJPvbGN52R_Cx8N9u056Cg3c5ZdBch0BoBsFB8TE8aQTh4BQ6slv0PEAgzplfup8yhfmZ7kfFgEIW0fnZCHEIZTLFxgtk3lpVBXG56at2Z3Fsw_j1FmD_IbCP9pQrDsIrfp7fl4R3doHnDw~) | [Facebook](https://sptr.eomail6.com/f/a/u-HSrAM0jy2bRfNXXDLtlg~~/AAAHURA~/FL8lmtGY8hYBwU-pAsLbyNueCHDZL0427zRcrdzTeWhyOSWphLfkjTk5dYyutbul_EZkRDo5qridV9tX0Z41byFxwuFUB3grMUIPGFREOucaV1Kh62ash_-TdU1QggSpzp85ebmGlpA95-V8JR5d1yGbxQ-Q-uuoEsRGk0-n2OE~) | [YouTube](https://sptr.eomail6.com/f/a/VUVUgsgRSu4niTrUqXvM-Q~~/AAAHURA~/Wt-IGe0LquIqM7VqBiWLSLGklVMO_4_l5AsgsJbzRbxFU-BG1DRtQIqTT-T4vidtwB73tGAYvmbVwFv9eZf1c8xJj2nn3DFdVfqXnYCBS0cASFuRgzn3DbPR6kaaNHNMzH5Mzq7rARUyyTtNCtx6snbwNh61r4F2PgxRKQIrv3g~) | [TikTok](https://sptr.eomail6.com/f/a/VUVUgsgRSu4niTrUqXvM-Q~~/AAAHURA~/Wt-IGe0LquIqM7VqBiWLSLGklVMO_4_l5AsgsJbzRbxFU-BG1DRtQIqTT-T4vidtwB73tGAYvmbVwFv9eZf1c8xJj2nn3DFdVfqXnYCBS0cASFuRgzn3DbPR6kaaNHNMzH5Mzq7rARUyyTtNCtx6snbwNh61r4F2PgxRKQIrv3g~) [⌊Punkerton Records⌉⌊Punkerton Records⌉[ ### Share this: * [ Facebook ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=facebook) * [ X ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=x) * [ Email ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?subject=%5BShared%20Post%5D%20MOONRAKER%20Drops%20Final%20Single%20Ahead%20of%20New%20Album%20%27Me%20And%20The%20Bells%27&body=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nyrdcast.com%2Fmoonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells%2F&share=email) * [ LinkedIn ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=linkedin) * [ Mastodon ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=mastodon) * [ Nextdoor ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=nextdoor) * [ Pinterest ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=pinterest) * [ Reddit ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=reddit) * [ Tumblr ](https://www.nyrdcast.com/moonraker-drops-single-ahead-of-me-and-the-bells/?share=tumblr) ### Like this: Like Loading… ### _Related_
