**JULY 21, 2026 [New York, NY] — **“There are no shortcuts to healing.” That’s the
central realization at the heart of “[**Sun Poison**](https://us.list-manage.com/4zQIYPC3sfQ?e=615f2b8493&c2id=fe32c1ddbd60eeaebb1f350fafcd06fb),”
the gripping third single from **ME.**‘s debut album **_ALL GOOD THINGS_**, out
independently this **Friday**, **July 24**. “‘Sun Poison’ explores the contrast
between the happiness we’re taught to chase and the emotions we often carry beneath
the surface,” the band says. “It’s about accepting uncertainty and finding the strength
to keep moving forward even when the path ahead isn’t clear.”

While many of ME.‘s songs begin with a guitar idea from either **Mark O’Connell**
or **Eddie Reyes**, “Sun Poison” took a completely different path. O’Connell arrived
at the studio with a simple challenge: start with the drums and let the song reveal
itself from there.

After recording the drum tracks, O’Connell asked Reyes to write and record two guitar
riffs to a specific tempo before Reyes headed back to Ohio. From there, O’Connell
and producer **Chris Bittner** (_Coheed And Cambria, Straylight Run, Meshell Ndegeocello_),
spent the remaining sessions piecing the song together, shaping the arrangement
from the ground up. By the time the instrumental was finished, it felt expansive
and complete musically, but there was still no roadmap for the vocal melodies. That
challenge ultimately fell to vocalist/guitarist **Mike Jansen**.

Working from the finished instrumental, Jansen crafted melodies and lyrics that
transformed the experiment into one of the album’s defining moments. The result
is a song that not only pushes the band creatively but perfectly embodies the spirit
of **_ALLGOODTHINGS_**: taking risks, trusting one another, and discovering something
unexpected in the process.

Over the past few months, ME. has steadily introduced listeners to the emotional
world of **_ALL GOOD THINGS_** through its first two singles, “[**Special**](https://us.list-manage.com/zpMaX4N9WJx?e=615f2b8493&c2id=fe32c1ddbd60eeaebb1f350fafcd06fb)”

The former confronted the lingering impact of toxic relationships while exploring
accountability and self-reflection, serving as the spark that ultimately transformed
the project into a full-fledged band. Its follow-up single “Grown Man” revealed
another side of the band, trading confrontation for vulnerability as it examined
trust, second chances, and the courage required to love again. Together, those songs
laid the emotional foundation that “Sun Poison” now expands upon, completing a trilogy
that traces the album’s journey from reckoning to resilience.

Built around the chemistry between former **Taking Back Sunday** founding members**
Mark O’Connell **and **Eddie Reyes **alongside vocalist/guitarist **Mike Jansen**
and bassist **Neal Amiruddin**, ME. represents a deliberate fresh start rather than
a return to the past. Formed through collaboration, trust, and a shared desire to
create without expectation, the band has embraced reinvention at every stage of
its evolution.

Rather than simply documenting conflict, **_ALLGOODTHINGS_** moves through it. Written
during a period of profound personal upheaval, the album evolves from loss and uncertainty
toward acceptance and renewal, with each song revealing another chapter in that
progression. The title reflects not an ending, but what comes afterward, the opportunity
to rebuild, rediscover purpose, and begin again. **ME.** is** Eddie Reyes** (_guitar_),**
Mark O’Connell** (_drums_), **Mike Jansen** (_guitar/vocals_), and **Neal Amiruddin**(
