Hailing from Calgary, Canada, this jazz-trained vocalist has performed and recorded extensively in the past, now emerging with this bold new solo project to follow her atmospheric, philosophical vision completely. Fans of darkwave, gothic and experimental artists like Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Euth Rundle and Florence & the Machine will find much to love here. Aronieme is very much a trained jazz, soul and r&b vocalist coming out of the mist as the ‘Lady of the Lake’. The singer, songwriter, producer, and vocalist has already made a striking impression with “Take the Ride,” a spectral and immersive debut statement that invites listeners into a world of vulnerability, mystery, and shadowed beauty. Now, with a growing run of Bandcamp-exclusive singles, including the visceral “Cut Me Into Pieces,” Aronieme is expanding that world with fearless intensity and philosophical depth. NYC music blog Obscure Sound says _“New single “Take the Ride” introduces Calgary- based artist Aronieme with a chillingly nocturnal dream-pop aesthetic, shaped by dynamic harmonic layers, stylish electronics, and shadowy rhythmic textures. As the first release from a newly developed artistic direction, the track establishes an immersive sonic identity built around vulnerability, mystery, and an invitation toward the unknown.”_ Daily Music Roll comments_ “The jazz-trained background, along with a philosophical artistic direction and dark elements, has added a whole new charm to her soundtrack sound. It is her innovative presentation that has enhanced the songs even more. Along with the captivating writing, she has amazed listeners with her powerful vocals as well.”_ Aronieme has commented on her creative process during her in-depth interview with Randy Radic and Ink19:_ “There is a huge amount of vulnerability in my music. I am opening myself up for all to actually see my soul, from my voice to my imagination to my life and experiences, and then for those to be judged by the world, especially in a non-mainstream fashion. I am not writing music for the average human. I am likely attracting the 1%. Looking for my fantasy tribe that wants to explore the unique and play in a different world with me.”_ Since the release of “Take the Ride”, Arionieme has begun releasing a prolific string of new singles, including the emotionally fiery “Cut Me Into Pieces”, all currently exclusive to Bandcamp. On top of her prolific string of recent singles, Aronieme has a full-length album prepared. Until then, enjoy the hypnotic sounds of ‘Hallow”, which is available on Bandcamp.
