MELU247 has been active since 2025, although the members have a long history in music. Their sound comes from a raw early-90s spirit, pulling from post-rock, noise and alternative rock while keeping a DIY approach.

The idea behind “Breathe” was to take a song already loaded with attitude and push it into a rougher, noisier and more garage-driven shape, treating the cover as a tribute with their own dirt, tension and character.
The single was released as a music video, with the audio also available through Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
Their debut release is the“[eka] EP” (“eka” roughly means “first” in Finnish slang), released on May 1, 2026. The EP contains five tracks:
The songs feature Finnish lyrics and themes involving anxiety, fear, conformity, destruction, and information overload.
They plan to follow it with a second EP in September.
