Connecticut post-hardcore outfit Wolves at Bay have announced the release of their long-awaited new album, Dissolve, due out October 10, 2025. Marking their first new full-length since 2014’s When I’m Dead EP, the eight-song record captures the band’s rebirth after more than a decade of silence.

Known for their raw energy and emotionally charged songwriting, Wolves at Bay reemerge with a deeper sense of maturity, vulnerability, and urgency. Dissolve is both a comeback and a statement—a meditation on aging, mental health, friendship, and the inevitable changes that come with time. It’s an album that chronicles how we grieve, heal, and move forward when everything feels like it’s falling apart.

Behind the scenes, Wolves at Bay have spent years quietly refining their sound, forging a collection of songs that reflect both who they were and who they’ve become. The band explains:

“This chapter marks a true rebirth. The connection between us has only grown stronger with time, and that bond is felt in every chord and lyric. Dissolve isn’t just about returning—it’s about starting again with purpose.”

Dissolve builds on the band’s post-hardcore roots while expanding into atmospheric, introspective territory. It’s a record of contrasts: quiet reflection versus crashing urgency, vulnerability against catharsis. Wolves at Bay capture the unease of growing older, the cycles of guilt and growth, and the enduring power of friendship and music to hold it all together.

The album’s centerpiece, “Guilt Cycle”, features a guest appearance from onelinedrawing (Jonah Matranga), bridging generations of emotionally charged punk and post-hardcore.

With this release, Wolves at Bay prove that their voice is as vital as ever, delivering a record that speaks not just to their journey, but to anyone grappling with change, loss, and renewal.
