“Brooklyn’s Warn the Duke have proven to be one of the most resilient bands out there. With a melody that rings with the familiarity of ’80s pop-punk meeting late-’90s emo, “Angels” is both furious and comfortable, with a strong sense of musical nostalgia.”- New Noise Magazine

Warn The Duke is back with “Angels”, their first new single in over two years. Gritty, melodic, and emotionally urgent, the song channels the turbulence of a year marked by personal and global upheaval. “‘Angels’ came out of a year of personal and global chaos. It’s about clawing toward hope when things fall apart,” says the band.

The track was recorded by Jeff Berner at Studio G in Brooklyn, with a music video shot at the iconic Wonderville bar in Bushwick. Watch for the video to premiere in a few weeks.

Known for weaving together threads of punk, grunge, and ‘90s alternative, Brookyn, NY’s Warn The Duke creates a sound that’s both comfortably familiar and satisfyingly original.

Vocal harmonies rarely heard in traditional punk are a signature of the band, earning them praise for a sound that’s “at once reminiscent of The Replacements and Hüsker Dü” (Deli Magazine), and “punk rock and post-hardcore that bands like Hot Water Music perfected” (Nerdist).

Warn The Duke’s story is one of resilience. Through cancer, divorce, relocations, and lineup changes, the band has continued to evolve, forging ahead with two compelling full-length albums and a string of high-energy live shows.

Their music—anchored by warm, gritty guitar tones and layered harmonies—resonates deeply with fans of bands like The ClashThe Replacements, and Jawbreaker, while connecting with a new generation of listeners seeking authenticity and emotional depth.

Catch them live August 2 at Lucky 13 in Brooklyn for the “Angels” single release show.
