Cardinals Unveil Logo Celebrating Yadier Molina’s Final Season

Final Season Merchandise & Collectibles Commemorating Catcher’s Hall of Fame Career Available Now at Busch Stadium Team Store & Cardinals Authentics Shop

ST. LOUIS, Mo., July 7, 2022 – The St. Louis Cardinals today unveiled a logo and launched a merchandise line commemorating future Hall of Fame catcher Yadier Molina’s final MLB season. The logo will be featured on a variety of collectibles, including t-shirts, hats, pennants, pins, drinkware and more, available now exclusively at the Official Cardinals Team Store at Busch Stadium, Cardinals Authentics Shops and MLBShop.com.

Molina, a two-time World Series Champion, ten-time All-Star and nine-time Gold Glove winner, debuted for the Cardinals on June 3, 2004 and has appeared in the third-most games in Cardinals history. Regarded as one of the greatest defensive catchers of all-time, Molina earlier this year became one of eight catchers in MLB history to reach 2,000 career hits and drive in 1,000 career runs. His longevity behind the plate is unmatched in the modern game, ranking second in MLB history with 16 seasons of catching 100+ games and fourth with 2,076 starts at catcher and 17,980.0 innings caught. He was the recipient of the prestigious Roberto Clemente Humanitarian Award in 2018, annually given by Major League Baseball to the player who best represents the game of baseball through positive contributions on and off the field, including sportsmanship and community involvement.
