Cardinals Add David Freese Bobblehead Giveaway on Sept 18

Gate Giveaway Will Be Distributed to 10,000 Fans as Club Celebrates the 10th Anniversary Reunion of 2011 World Series Championship Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo., August 25, 2021 – The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that it has added a David Freese bobblehead giveaway to the 2021 promotional schedule for 10,000 fans, ages 16 and older, presented by Ameren Missouri on Saturday, September 18. The new bobblehead captures the World Series MVP as he tosses off his helmet in celebration after hitting his iconic 11th inning walk-off home run against the Texas Rangers in Game 6 of the 2011 Fall Classic.

Additionally, a limited amount of bobbleheads that will be passed out that day will feature special “MVP” lettering stacked at the base of the bobblehead.

The hometown hero’s bobblehead will be distributed in conjunction with the 10th anniversary reunion of the 2011 World Series Championship team presented by Heartland Coca-Cola. Freese, along with over 25 former players and coaches from that season’s squad, are scheduled to take part in a pregame ceremony before the Cardinals take on the San Diego Padres at 6:15 PM.

This will be David Freese’s second gate giveaway bobblehead the team has produced for fans at the ballpark, issuing the first back on May 13, 2012. Earlier this month, fans who purchased a special David Freese Budweiser Bash Theme Ticket took home an exclusive Freese bobblehead as part of the event.
