Best of Last Week:
Marauders #15: Marauders concludes the “dinner” before the tournament begins; for as much as I’m enjoying the event, it’s really taking a long time to get going.
Excalibur #14: The first 2 “battles” leads to a potential loss for Krakoa and a wedding; this is what I’ve been wanting. This might be the best issue of Excalibur since the series started.
Wolverine #7: Wolverine ends up in 3 different battles here, but one is a set up. Solid issue that really pushes the event forward.
Strange Academy #5: Strange academy is filling the void of the original Runaways and Young Avengers arcs; new, young characters that can bring in new, young readers. It’s a fun book with a lot of secrets.
Taskmaster #1: I’ll admit that I haven’t read many Taskmaster stories, so when I encountered his personality, it was a little jarring. I’d always assumed he was all business, but this book did a lot to make him a more interesting character. I’m in.
Retro Review: None again; I’ve read a bit of older Marvel stuff, but I’ll be doing a series of full reviews for them. Most have some kind of tie into WandaVision. For reals this week.
Don’t forget, the Krakoa Mutant Tracker is updated weekly as new books come to Marvel Unlimited.
