This past Friday, the Foo Fighters were to play a show in Kansas City, MO. Prior to the show, the Westboro Baptist Church started to picket the show. How did the band respond?
Yes, that’s Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” playing. You can’t hear it on the video, but Dave Grohl was quoted as saying: “God bless America! It takes all kinds. I don’t care if you’re black or white or purple or green, whether you’re Pennsylvanian or Transylvanian, Lady Gaga or Lady Antebellum, men loving women and women loving men and men loving men and women loving women — you all know we like to watch that. But what I’d like to say is, God bless America, y’all!”
Just another reason why they are one of the greatest bands.
New Stormtroopers
Spinoff Online has a picture that was deleted from actor Donnie Yen’s Facebook and Instagram feeds – new stormtrooper helmets. These are apparently from Rogue One, the first of the Star Wars Anthology films. The picture was removed from Yen’s accounts shortly after being posted.
The picture has me excited for the next film in the trilogy and to see where they’ll take these anthology films.
Nathan Fillion Wants to be…
Remember when DC announced Ryan Reynolds was announced as Green Lantern? People were upset that Nathan Fillion, Captain Mal himself, was not considered for the role. He was the perfect choice for Hal Jordan. Well, that hasn’t keep Fillion from wanting other DC roles.
ComicBook.com asked Fillion which role he wanted: Booster Gold. It’s perfect. Fillion plays off-beat, sarcastic characters to a T, and BG would be an ideal casting (best since Reynolds as Deadpool). Now they just have to give him the role and find a place to put him into the DC Movie Universe.
