While it’s been reported for a while that Brady Aiken had come to terms with the Houston Astros on a $6.5M bonus, it’s been revealed that Aiken has an “irregularity” in his elbow. The team still wants to sign the lefty, but reportly at a discount.
The Astros are looking to sign the pitcher for a $5M bonus, well below the previously reported bonus on $1.5M. If Aiken decides to pass on the offer, he will honor his commitment to UCLA and be eligible for the draft in 2017 as a junior.
